The following were recommended for city council by the SEA Building Representatives on Monday, September 24, 2007;
Seattle City Council Position #1: Joe Szwaja
Seattle City Council Position #5: Tom Rasmussen
Seattle City Council Position #3: Venus Velázquez
Seattle City Council Position #7: No Position
The recommendation was made after the SEA's Educators for Public Education Committee reviewed written questionnaires completed by candidates and interviewed them. The Building Representatives considered the Committee's recommendation when they voted for these recommendations.
